Tracey at FAR Gives So Lucky Five Angels!!
“Karen Erickson writes an outstanding short story that will pull you in immediately and end way too soon. Lucky Simon could be any woman; she could be a friend of yours. So Lucky is an adorable fantasy come to life in this story. I’m sure we’ve all imagined wishing on a four leaf clover, and next time I’ll be thinking of Aidan when I go looking for mine. Karen Erickson’s So Lucky is a must read and worth all five Angels!”
Mahaira at JERR Gives So Lucky 4/5 Stars!
“Lucinda Ann Simon, Lucky for her friends, has been blessed with a perfect life. You would think she has everything with a splendid career, apartment and a cool bunch of friends who care. But, there is something vital missing in her life. Love seems to avoid her and she can’t do anything but wish for that perfect man. What will she do when wishing on a four leaf clover lands her a leprechaun and really, how does a real, live leprechaun fit one’s daily life?
Lucky is one of those women you would love to know. She has her heart and mind in the right place. I found myself agreeing with her opinions on various issues. Her insecurities sound real enough. Aidan sounds like a real fantasy catch. I did not have to overwork my imagination in conjuring up his image in his choice of green garb. I love the way Ms. Erickson brought these two together. I was all smiles during their first meeting that quickly turned to sighs as they start their bedroom escapades. They had nothing in common, but the sweet heat they emit off makes you all warm and gooey inside. Now I know what to do when my perfect guy shows up! The plot is simple and flows very well giving you a smooth fun filled ride. The secondary characters were there to support the story but had enough substance to draw my attention. I just thought that the ending came about a little too soon, though the final twist made me close the book with a happy sigh. I was wondering what would happen and did not see it coming. Though a short and a real quick read, there is nothing lacking. Ms. Erickson has done a great job in enhancing a simple storyline into an adult fairy tale that somewhere touches your heart. Perfect for some light reading, this book is for people who never give up hoping even when life drags them down. Suspend belief, grab a copy and most importantly, start living!”
Claire at Two Lips Reviews Said about So Lucky:
“Karen Erickson’s sweet tale of finding love when you least expect it will resonate with women everywhere.”
Dee at TRS Gave So Lucky Five Hearts!
“Ms. Erickson knows how to weave a tale realistically and get the characters’ peronalities to flow. Whether it’s to help Lucky over her doubt and fears or some reason of her own, Miranda turns her charm toward Aidan. Doesn’t take long for Lucky to realize she doesn’t want to lose him when her jealousy glows greener than his Leprechaun suit. She makes a wise choice and decides going home with him is a better idea than leaving him to Miranda.
This book is really a great entertainment for St. Patrick’s Day or any old day!”

“Look, I really think it would be best if you left. Yes, I think it’s kind of funny that you say I wished for you, and I have to admit I find it odd that you even knew I found that four leaf clover. But the game’s over, you can go home now. Maybe even find something normal to wear.” Lucky motioned toward the door, hoping he would get the hint but he just stood there, watching her.
“I’m not going anywhere,” Aidan said, his voice deliciously deep, his tone commanding, sexy.
“You’re not?” Since when did her voice get so weak?
“No.” He shook his head, started walking towards her. “I’m not.”
“Then what are you suggesting we do?”
He stopped before her, towering over her, his big body blocking her view. All she could see was him, smell him, feel his body heat radiate towards her. It felt as if her entire world had just become him.
“I’d rather show you than tell you, Lucinda.”
“Lucky,” she automatically corrected.
“Lucy,” he compromised with a devilish smile.
How could a man irritate her and arouse her all at the same time? She didn’t get it.
“I’m not getting naked with you Mr. Green Jeans so just forget about it.” Lucky crossed her arms in front of her chest, then realized she wore no bra since she was still in her pajamas. She could even feel her pebbled nipples poking through her thin t-shirt. How embarrassing. Of course, she was sure he could see them.
“But that’s why you wished for me, sweetheart. You want a man who knows how to satisfy you, a man who knows how to make love, how to cherish you.” He reached out, his thick fingers trailing down her cheek.
She flinched beneath his touch. It seemed to burn her skin, make her heat up inside. “I highly doubt you’re that man.”
“You don’t deny that’s what you want?”
She shrugged, tightening her crossed arms against her chest. “Of course, that’s what every woman wants. I just don’t want it from a man who looks like he walked off a kid’s cereal box.”
Aidan’s thick brows furrowed, his forehead creasing with what could only be confusion. “Cereal box? What are you talking about?”
Like everyone knew about Lucky Charms. With the exception of a burly Irishman conjured up by her wish, that is. “Never mind. What I’m trying to say is that I’m not a loose woman, Aidan. I have morals, I don’t sleep around. I certainly don’t sleep with a man I barely know who just happened to let himself into my apartment uninvited.”
He sighed in frustration. “Aye, I was invited, by you, which you seem to forget. And I know you don’t sleep around. I know everything about you, Lucinda Simon. I know your hopes, your fears, your insecurities about men. How you get so nervous in bed with them that you can’t enjoy sex.”
She stiffened, shocked that he did know so much about her. “How—”
“Sssh.” Aidan’s finger pressed against her mouth, silencing her. He stroked her bottom lip, his touch feather light and her lips parted of their own volition. “Stop asking questions, it just makes you angrier.”
He was right. Every time she questioned him, she did grow angrier. And more baffled. His touch felt so good, though. His finger still stroked across her lower lip, his golden eyes glowing at her, full of desire. All for her.
