Once again, I’m remiss in my blogging duties. Forgive me. I was busy most of January writing like a maniac. Which hopefully will result in good things i.e. contracts which in turn will be good for you, my readers. (psst I’ve already received one contract offer from Carina Press for my second historical novella. More details to come!)
It’s February so that means a few birthdays going down in my house. My daughter’s is tomorrow – she’s turning 8 on the 8th. My baby girl is 8! Where did the time go? We had her birthday party Saturday. Lots of friends and family and food and presents. We had it here. Everyone had a blast.
My birthday is Thursday. I’ve decided this year I’m turning 31…again. Such a great age, I want to repeat it! If you’re feeling a little, um, aged and want to lower it a bit, I will NOT hold it against you. You can join my club. The 31 club!
This week I plan on working on more administrative type stuff (paperwork, updating my website, ooh I need to do taxes – you know, that stuff) and starting the third Fated novella. I pondered the storyline all weekend and I think I’m ready to dig in. I’m excited.
What excites you this week? Did you watch the Super Bowl? The game was all right. The commercials, I thought they were weak. But that’s just me…

1. I am a bad blogger but I have an excuse! I’ve been out of town. I went to see my parents in Palm Springs (doesn’t that sound ritzy? It really wasn’t, I swear. But I’ll say this – it was nice and WARM. I miss the sun. There is no sun at my house). I also went here:
It’s crazy nuts in Quartzsite, Arizona. Filled with RVers – lots and lots of them parked out in the middle of the desert. And a giant tent full of vendors selling their wares. So many wares! So many things you could buy! Very tempting. I bought fresh Kettle Corn. It was delicious.
2. I am busy writing my fool head off. Well, not literally but you know what I mean. I’ve been working hard on a small secret project that won’t be out for a while (like 2012) and I also need to start working on the third book in the Fated series. Oh yes, and Notorious (Eric from Scandalous – his story) has the official release date of June 21st. Wheee!
What’s up with YOU?

As in, I’m a terrible blogger and oh yeah, the weather is terrible. Officially fall last week, it is 100+ degrees predicted all week in my neck of the woods. UGH. Where is the cooler weather? Huh, huh?
It is nowhere to be found. I burn fall smelling candles in the hopes of making it feel like fall. Oh yeah and I’m putting out the fall/Halloween decorations this weekend no matter what. I mean come on – Friday is October 1st!
Okay, I had to get that complaint off my chest. In other news, I’ve been writing like a maniac, I’ve been busy with family-type stuff and that in turn causes me to neglect this blog. I’m sorry. I vow to be a better blogger. Vow I say!
How’s the weather in your neck of the woods? How are YOU in general? Let me know. I’m curious.

Germs. That’s what I got from back to school. A head cold that’s made me a slight head case for a week. Beside the fact that I’m going out of town with the kids at the end of the week and there is a lot going on around here in general and in preparation, I’m a little nuts.
So the blogging is sporadic. What else is new? In other news, Seinfeld is on at this very moment and the ugly baby episode is on. Remember that one? “It’s a….baby!” Yeah too funny. My husband still loves that show (the reason why it’s on our TV right now).
Ciao bellas! Hope the rest of your week is awesome.

…at this blog thing lately. I come home from the RWA conference and my life has been on fast forward ever since. But! There is light at the end of the tunnel. I can see it and as every day passes, it gets brighter and brighter.
School starts this upcoming Monday.
I’ll get back on track come Monday I swear! I have lots of things to share. For one, a new cover! I love cover art…
So see ya next week! I promise!

…to do Caturday on Saturday. Shame on me. And I took photos of the kittens and everything. There’s always next week right?
It’s insane this week. Last week of school. Oldest is out Thursday. Other two munchkins are out Friday. Since I’m room mom for youngest munchkin, I have a huge project to work on (finishing up the memory books for each child in class – ack) plus organizing the last day of school party. Save me now!
At least I turned in a novella to my Samhain editor last week so that’s off my plate. I’m turning in the final revision on my historical manuscript to my agent right now. So the writing obligations are few. Though watch…edits are headed my way I just know it.
This rambling on is just to let you know why I won’t be posting much this week. It’s just too nutty. I can’t wait for school to be over! Ask me how I feel about this in about three weeks though okay? I’ll be saying I can’t wait for school to start! I’m fickle that way.
What are YOU up to this week?
