<p>Yes, <em>I</em> took that photo. Not my oldest, but <em>me</em>. I&#8217;m impressed, if I do say so myself. And I didn&#8217;t even fiddle with it in Photoshop. Which I am slooooowly trying to figure out. But that&#8217;s another blog post.</p>
<p>This photo says it all. It is my life on the dirt road. See that road? It&#8217;s the road I live on. See that blue sky? We haven&#8217;t had much of that considering the smoke from all of the fires. It was actually a decent day Thursday though hot. See those poor little burned out flowers? Yes they burned to death from the dreadful heat.</p>
<p>Poor things.</p>
<p>See that awesome wood fence? That&#8217;s not my fence. That&#8217;s the Dibble&#8217;s fence, they&#8217;re our neighbors. They have horses. I&#8217;ll share pics of them sometime soon.</p>
<p>When we first moved out there (almost seven years ago) my oldest asked me (he was seven at the time), &#8220;Whose house is that?&#8221; and I answered, &#8220;The Dibbles.&#8221;</p>
<p>He pondered that for a moment, his brows drawing together and then blurted out, &#8220;The <em>Devils</em>?&#8221; The look on his face was pure horror.</p>
<p>Unbeknownst to them, we called the Dibble&#8217;s the Devils for years.</p>
