What I’m Going to Read

12:51 pm • Filed under: What I'm Reading

Yes, besides the books I’m reading as part of my judging duties for the RITA, I’m going to start reading this book because I can’t wait:

Lust

Of old, humans and Faeries have dwelt side by side in parallel realms. Only the canniest mortals recognize the alluring creatures that often walk—and lie—among them.

The righteous Fae of the Seelie Court cherish an ancient quarrel with their Dark counterparts: a curse born of anger and deceit. The Unseelie Court will perish unless one of its princes can win a woman’s love—honestly, without coercion…and love her wholly in return.

To halt the slow demise of his people, Prince Thane—the embodiment of Lust—infiltrates the Georgian court to seduce his mortal inverse. Noblewoman Chastity Lennox is purity incarnate—a sensual prize well worth winning. But Thane’s carnal quest proves more challenging than he ever dreamed.

No other has ever been able—or willing—to resist his erotic charms. Chastity’s resolve is maddening…and intriguing. It makes him want her all the more. But how best to seduce one who truly seems above temptation? Discover her greatest weakness and become the intoxicating essence of her deepest, most forbidden desires….

Charlotte Featherstone is awesome. Have you read Addicted or Sinful? Oh my gosh, they are both so, so good. She writes the best tortured heroes. She has a way of turning phrases that makes me both envious (not in a bad way – a GOOD way) and determined to be a better writer. She inspires me, she really does and she has no idea.

I can’t wait to read this book! What are YOU reading? Yeah, help me add to my growing TBR pile (I need no help, LOL)…

Two for Tuesday

1. I am a bad blogger but I have an excuse! I’ve been out of town. I went to see my parents in Palm Springs (doesn’t that sound ritzy? It really wasn’t, I swear. But I’ll say this – it was nice and WARM. I miss the sun. There is no sun at my house). I also went here:

It’s crazy nuts in Quartzsite, Arizona. Filled with RVers – lots and lots of them parked out in the middle of the desert. And a giant tent full of vendors selling their wares. So many wares! So many things you could buy! Very tempting. I bought fresh Kettle Corn. It was delicious.

2. I am busy writing my fool head off. Well, not literally but you know what I mean. I’ve been working hard on a small secret project that won’t be out for a while (like 2012) and I also need to start working on the third book in the Fated series. Oh yes, and Notorious (Eric from Scandalous – his story) has the official release date of June 21st. Wheee!

What’s up with YOU?

Good News for the New Year!

1:03 am • Filed under: Writing

How was your New Year’s? Mine was…uneventful. But I’m okay with that. Really. I’ve been busy purging my house (I do this every year I swear), hanging with the kids and writing. Oh, and I got an awesome email in the inbox on New Year’s Eve. Want to know what it was?

Sure ya do!

It was a contract from Samhain for my book Notorious. The fourth book in the Playing With Fire series – this is Eric’s story people! Yes, he’s getting his own happy ending, I promise! Look for it about mid-2011 I think.

What’s on your agenda this week? Me, I’m writing. I have a lot to do this month and need to get busy. Oh, and it won’t stop raining. I rarely say this but I’m sick of it! We’re supposed to be getting a break starting tomorrow. I can’t wait…
