About the Presenter:
Shelli read her first romance novel when she was eleven. It was a Harlequin that she snuck off her mom’s bookshelf, and she was forever
hooked on romance novels. It wasn’t until many years later that she decided to pursue writing stories of her own. By then she acknowledged
the voices in her head didn’t make her crazy, they made her a writer.
Shelli currently lives in the Pacific Northwest with her young daughter, where she is President of her local RWA (Romance Writers of
America) chapter. She writes various genres of romance for Samhain Publishing, Cobblestone Press, and Highland Press.

I have been a good blogger lately but sometimes life comes along and throws a big project at you. And that’s exactly what’s happened to me. I need to dive under the covers for a couple of days and work - really really hard. I hope it’ll be worth all of my effort.
So Happy Easter and all that good stuff! May you get lots of pretties in your basket. I’ll be back around early next week.

Kinda. I’m at least back online! I feel good, for the most part (thank goodness for pain meds though I can’t take too many - they make me looney). Sven has taken a back seat but I’m not worried. That task master will whip me back into shape I’m sure.
Fortune’s Deception is in the Top Ten at Samhain! That’s exciting.
Another exciting thing? We’re getting a yard! Yes, finally after uh…almost seven years living in this house, we’re finally getting a front and back yard!

I’d share an actual pic but my hub took the camera with him to work damn it. I’ll share real pics on tomorrow or Sunday I swear.
So how is everyone? Whatcha doin’ this weekend?

Can you see that? Can you tell who came to visit a couple of days ago? Yeah it’s a bobcat.
We get a lot of bobcats around here. They freak me out a little cos sometimes they get too close for comfort. Like this dude. He lounged in my back field all afternoon - at one point sitting on a rock like he was king of the world, sunning himself. When I took his pic I chased him off for a while. Then he came back.
Funny how when he was around, my cats were gone. Invisible. I’d love to know where they hid. I don’t blame them. This guy wasn’t as big as some of them I’ve seen but he’d definitely take my cats out no prob.
Ah livin’ in the country. Ain’t it grand?

My printer died. It had lived a long (for a printer) life and it was time to get a new one. After seeing the ultra cool all in one Kodak printer on The Celebrity Apprentice (yes yes I watched it but I quit - it got REALLY stupid), I decided I wanted it. The ink cartridges are cheap and the amount they print is over double of the average printer.
Sunday armed with my children, we went printer shopping. I couldn’t find the model I wanted anywhere (sold out) and I ended up buying the display model at Office Depot.
Big mistake.
What a POS! I did everything I was supposed to, troubleshooting it until I couldn’t troubleshoot it anymore and I flat out couldn’t make the black ink work. So I took it back.
And went to Best Buy and bought the even bigger and badder model with no problems. It’s sitting next time as we speak, all pretty and shiny and ready to print out the partial I’m sending out tomorrow. Yay!
One word of advice - Never buy the display model. They suck.
Painting progress: The bathroom is going well! I would say in two days I’ll be finished. I have to do it in shifts ‘cos it needs to be done in layers and I have to let the layers dry. So a couple of hours over the next few days and I’ll be done! And pics will be shared, don’t worry…
