I’m late in posting because I’ve been either chasing children or baking all day. Goodies galore around here! Well not only baking but I’ve even done a little candy making. Fudge (I love fudge my grandma makes fabulous fudge) and I tried my hand at marshmallows. We’ll see if they work – I have to let them sit overnight…
Here’s a bit of the madness. Talk about making a mess…
And I’m still not done! I want to make frosted cookies with the kids this weekend plus I’m going to try out a caramel popcorn mix type recipe. Oh! And I’m making these. My friend Lori gave them to us in a goodie tray and well. We ate them all in about five. Seconds. Flat.

Youngest child is sick. Clingy like a monkey. Needs his mama and his mama is unable to be on the computer much.
Which makes his mama anxious. Eeeek….

I made an early one. You see, late last year I earned a giant turkey breast from the supermarket and I immediately tossed it in the freezer. Well, almost a year later I decided to make it for dinner.
I was worried. Would it be yuck? And OMG it was waaay bigger than I thought, how long is this thing gonna need to cook?
Well never fear it was delicious. Kind of like a pre-run before the actual big day. Which I am hosting but not panicking over this year. I got a break last year so this time around, I’m actually a little excited. I’m trying out new recipes and everything!
Why don’t we eat turkey more often? It’s good stuff!

My children are home and I’m gonna be lazy. Today’s ambition? To color my hair.
Folks, it’s broke-time in my neighborhood and I quit getting my hair highlighted at the fancy salon. I have not completely given up the fancy salon (because I’ve been with Stacy for over three years and she does a fine job cutting my hair!) but the blonde highlights have gone bye-bye. Back to natural.
Only it’s not natural. You should see the gray hairs sprouting from the top of my head. When the hell did I get so old? WHEN? I have no clue.
Minus my broke and going gray rant, let’s not forget our soldiers who have both served us and are still serving our country…

Is it silly of me to get all geeked out and giddy over the sight of red Starbucks cups clutched in shoppers’ hands at the mall on an early Saturday morning? Because I did.
Yes I was at the mall, actually shopping. Sephora was having a special sale! I had to hit that up. I got a couple of things that YOU will all benefit from too. Yes little prizes for a blog contest. Watch for those coming soon!
I went with my two youngest. Oldest was at a band competition. I’m reminded yet again why I don’t take them to the mall. They drag. They whine. They want to eat Chinese in the food court and once they get their food, they realize they don’t want it anymore (my daughter).
They make their Mama nuts.
It’s raining so hard right now. Hope I don’t lose power – I do live in the country ya know…
