Eden Bradley’s Spring Equinox

2:41 pm • Filed under: Books I Love, Friends

The lovely Ms. Eden Bradley has a new book out today! Check it out:

My latest book from Samhain, SPRING EQUINOX, is out today! This is Book Two in my Celestial Seductions series, a four-book seasonal collection of contemporary erotic romance novellas, and each one has a special little twist. You can find Book One, WINTER SOLSTICE, at Samhain, on MBAM and on Amazon.
But back to SPRING EQUINOX. Would you like a little peek?

Once upon a time, two young lovers vowed to reunite…

Celestial Seductions, Book 2

After a bitter divorce, Isabel Asher returns to Isla de Margarita to find the only man she’s ever truly loved. Twelve years ago, on her eighteenth birthday, they made a pact to meet…if they both were free. Now she waits, wondering if Rafael Cruz will be her every fantasy come to life…or just a foolish dream.

Rafael never forgot their summer of love all those years ago. Since then, no other woman has measured up to the memory of Isabel in his arms. Their chemistry is still stunning, the sex is sizzling. The power of their memories is overwhelming. Yet it’s too soon to tell if she wants to be with him as much as he wants her.

As her time on the island grows short, their sensual play heats up, and includes a night with Rafael’s best friend. But they must decide if their passionate reunion is simply a celebration of the past…or a new beginning for lasting love.

To celebrate my release, I’m running a contest and posting an excerpt over on The Smutketeers blog, so come on by and check it out!

Pumpkin Patch

12:50 am • Filed under: Books I Love, Home Life, Mom stuff

We’re going. Well, it’s not a real pumpkin patch but a place set up in a dirt lot across from McDonald’s with hay bales and giant slide rides and KETTLE KORN. Oh, whoops, I think I just gave away the true reason I want to go to that particular pumpkin patch…

I should probably only buy two (overpriced) pumpkins at that joint and then go across the street to the supermarket and buy some more for a better deal. Yeah that sounds like a plan. Then the two little munchkins get their pumpkin “patch” experience, Mom gets her Kettle Korn and then we go get cheaper pumpkins…

I’m in Love

12:05 am • Filed under: Books I Love

…with a hero from a book that’s not even out yet! Oh, lordy am I in love with this guy. And I must put all the blame on Charlotte Featherstone since she created him.

Have you heard of Charlotte? She wrote Addicted which came out with Harlequin Spice earlier this year. Lovely cover. Interesting read. The hero is addicted to opium! Yes, so scandalous. There’s a character in that book, a man named Wallingford. He gets his own book and it’s called Sinful. Let’s check that cover out shall we?

Oh boy. That is major hotness. I stumbled upon her blog hmm I don’t know quite how I did it but I started reading…and reading. You see, she shares excerpts from Sinful. And she even shares excerpts that weren’t included in the book. Delicious glimpses into that yummy YUMMY Lord Wallingford and what makes him tick.

I want him. There I said it. I want him, I want to read that book and I have no idea how I’m going to be able to wait until May of 2010. Maybe I can bribe Charlotte into sending me an ARC or something. I met her in DC at the RWA conference and she was very nice. She is friends with my bud Tracy Wolff and well, I found them giggling on the couch in the lobby on the hotel so I joined them and had a few giggles myself.

Maybe Charlotte remembers me? Hmm, I doubt it. Maybe she’ll pity me and my love for Wallingford. Sigh…I haven’t felt this anxious for a new book coming out in a long time. This is what I love. Even though I’m an author and I write stories for others to enjoy I am also first and foremost a READER. And boy do I love it when I find a good read.

If you like historicals with brooding, romantic, sexy heroes then go over to Charlotte’s blog and read up on Wallingford. I encourage you to do so. You won’t regret it. Well, you might regret the wait for reading all of Wallingford but that’s about it. Oh, he’s dreamy…

What are you anxiously awaiting to read? Anything new and exciting coming up that you can’t wait to get your hot little hands on? My reading budget just got slashed. Majorly slashed. And of course all sorts of goodies are coming out and I’m jonesin’…

Randomness

12:15 am • Filed under: Books I Love, Random

Is the above title even a word? Okay, first off, I watched Obsessed on A&E last night and wow, it was just so…interesting. Similar to Intervention but I’m sorry I just can’t watch Intervention because the majority of those people always end up back where they started and it depresses me.

But with Obsessed, these people seemed to truly want to help ease their OCD tendencies and it was just…fascinating to me. What pushed them over the edge, what helped them. I definitely will watch this again. Did you watch it? Tell me what you thought if you did.

In other news, uh, my kids are almost out of school. We’re going to visit my parents in mid-June. My cats are crazy. My dog won’t stop tearing up napkins and tissues with his teeth, leaving the shredded bits all over my floor. This means I could never be OCD about cleaning because to keep this place spotless and sterile would take every bit of energy I have and it wears me out just thinking about it.

Want to give a shout out to all of the people who stop by after Googling Adam Lambert. “Adam Lambert sneezing” was the latest one. I mean, yes, the man is cute but I haven’t heard anything special about his sneezing. “Adam Lambert erotica” was another one. Oh my, that puts a lot of naughty thoughts in my head yes indeed…

My friend Avery Beck’s book is out today! Sexy By Design at Samhain Publishing – it’s her first book published, so exciting! Congrats Avery! Oh and congrats to my good friend Crystal Jordan, too. Her book It’s Raining Men is available at Samhain today as well. I can’t help but have that song in my head every time I read that title…

And that’s my random blog post for the day! What’s going on with YOU?

Books Books!

12:05 am • Filed under: Books I Love

Lookee what came via my friendly UPS guy yesterday:

moremisc-048

Books galore! In all shapes and sizes (literally)! In all sorts of sub-genres! Almost half of them are written by people I consider friends (Eden Bradley, Annaliese Evans, Megan Hart & Lauren Dane) Though there is definitely a historical trend in this group…

Anywho, I’m not quite sure which one to start first. And I’m still wrapping up some revising/polishing projects. I need to finish post haste but ooh those books are sooooo tempting!

Bought any books lately?

Reading

12:15 pm • Filed under: Books I Love, New book fun!

I am reading when I should be writing. Lots of exciting, busy-inducing things going on around here. And guess what? I’d rather be reading this book:

cover-perfectchemistry

Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles. It’s a YA and OMG it’s so good. The writing, the characters, the chemistry between them, just…dreamy. And real. Gritty real. And wonderful. I highly recommend it.

How about you? What are you up to today?

p.s. – Fortune’s Chance is #9 on the MBAM bestseller list. Go me! And thanks to everyone who’s bought it! I hope you enjoy it (chews on nails nervously hoping they really do enjoy it).
