Is the above title even a word? Okay, first off, I watched Obsessed on A&E last night and wow, it was just so…interesting. Similar to Intervention but I’m sorry I just can’t watch Intervention because the majority of those people always end up back where they started and it depresses me.
But with Obsessed, these people seemed to truly want to help ease their OCD tendencies and it was just…fascinating to me. What pushed them over the edge, what helped them. I definitely will watch this again. Did you watch it? Tell me what you thought if you did.
In other news, uh, my kids are almost out of school. We’re going to visit my parents in mid-June. My cats are crazy. My dog won’t stop tearing up napkins and tissues with his teeth, leaving the shredded bits all over my floor. This means I could never be OCD about cleaning because to keep this place spotless and sterile would take every bit of energy I have and it wears me out just thinking about it.
Want to give a shout out to all of the people who stop by after Googling Adam Lambert. “Adam Lambert sneezing” was the latest one. I mean, yes, the man is cute but I haven’t heard anything special about his sneezing. “Adam Lambert erotica” was another one. Oh my, that puts a lot of naughty thoughts in my head yes indeed…
My friend Avery Beck’s book is out today! Sexy By Design at Samhain Publishing - it’s her first book published, so exciting! Congrats Avery! Oh and congrats to my good friend Crystal Jordan, too. Her book It’s Raining Men is available at Samhain today as well. I can’t help but have that song in my head every time I read that title…
And that’s my random blog post for the day! What’s going on with YOU?

Lookee what came via my friendly UPS guy yesterday:

Books galore! In all shapes and sizes (literally)! In all sorts of sub-genres! Almost half of them are written by people I consider friends (Eden Bradley, Annaliese Evans, Megan Hart & Lauren Dane) Though there is definitely a historical trend in this group…
Anywho, I’m not quite sure which one to start first. And I’m still wrapping up some revising/polishing projects. I need to finish post haste but ooh those books are sooooo tempting!
Bought any books lately?

I am reading when I should be writing. Lots of exciting, busy-inducing things going on around here. And guess what? I’d rather be reading this book:

Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles. It’s a YA and OMG it’s so good. The writing, the characters, the chemistry between them, just…dreamy. And real. Gritty real. And wonderful. I highly recommend it.
How about you? What are you up to today?
p.s. - Fortune’s Chance is #9 on the MBAM bestseller list. Go me! And thanks to everyone who’s bought it! I hope you enjoy it (chews on nails nervously hoping they really do enjoy it).

But I’m glad. I talked about buying this book back in June! I admit, I started it, got a little bored and stopped. It got shoved to the bottom of my TBR pile and when Christmas vacation started up, I pulled it out and told myself, “Self, finish this. The third one is coming out in January and let’s see if you wanna read it.”
OMG. Rumors was so good. Like I mentioned it started a little slow (so did Luxe) but once I got involved, whoo doggie I couldn’t stop reading! I love that cover. It gives me a little thrill whenever I pick it up and look at it (that gorgeous red dress!).
And now that I waited so long (six months!) and finally finished the book well I don’t have as long to wait for the third book to come out! It’s available at the end of January and seriously I CANNOT WAIT.
Look at that cover! Lovely. I know most people are obsessed with Twilight but this is my YA series of choice. I wish I had someone to discuss it with (because I CANNOT BELIEVE how she ended Rumors OMG OMG OMG). I am buying Envy as my early birthday present (next month woot!) - I hope I can wait until January 27th…
Is there a series or book you just finished or are still reading that you are positively devouring? Share!

Yes let’s keep saving the contemporary romance book! I love me a delicious contemporary romance and Talk Me Down by Victoria Dahl sounds wonderful.
They’re having a fabulous contest over at Dear Author so go check it out. Last time I participated in this I bought Flat Out Sexy by Erin McCarthy (the first book profiled in the Save the Contemporary campaign) and my gosh! Such a wonderful book! Seriously one of my favorite of 2008. Go forth and buy it if you haven’t already…

Is my friend. She was one of my first writing friends. I met her on the last day of the RWA conference in Reno back in 05. We decided to be critique partners. I read a couple of chapters for her that ended up placing in a HQ Blaze contest. I eventually critiqued the whole dang book…and then another book. And that book evolved quite a bit, many changes that I never saw. Now…
Here’s the book. And it’ll be available in stores this upcoming Monday! If you can’t wait you can go ahead and purchase the book over at eHarlequin. That’s what I did. Gotta show support for my girl…
Plus! Tracy is leading the most awesome workshop over at the eHarlequin forum. “Know The Market, Know Thyself” has come at a good time for me. This week I’ve been a little anxious. I read my stuff and wonder, “Is this good enough? Really good enough?” Her workshop is touching on some points that I haven’t thought about before.
And you don’t have to be interested in writing “just category” to get something from Tracy’s workshop. Go check it out, it’s worth it!
