Pandora how I adore thee. You turned me onto this song – Breathe Me by Sia. And I love it. Once I did a little searching I figured out why I loved her voice so much.
(Oh holy crap the embedding is disabled of Breathe Me on YouTube. Curse those who won’t let me embed! I love this song! Go check it out here if you’re so inclined. The video is cool).
Anywho, Sia is also one of the singers that was with the band Zero 7 and they sing Destiny which was one of the songs that helped feed my writing soul as I purged it all out with a book last year that turned into Forbidden.
Was that a run on sentence or what? My editor would be appalled.
The best lyrics in this song (besides the porn reference – yes there’s a porn reference!) are in the chorus:
When I’m weak I draw strength from you
And when you’re lost I know how to change your mood
And when I’m down you breathe life over me
Even though we’re miles apart we are each others destiny
Last year when I was in the Forbidden writing frenzy (and it was a frenzy, it just poured out of me), I would hear this song and cry. Cry I say. I was a wreck.
Forbidden has been my best selling book to date. And I don’t think it’s just because it’s so naughty. I poured my soul into that sucker, I really did. I’m re-reading it at this very moment – galleys for the print book that’s coming in December. So it’s fitting that as I re-read it I discover this song. Don’t ya think?
Love you Pandora! Love you Sia!
Any songs you’ve discovered lately? Oh I have another one that I love, love, love – I’ll share it next week.

Emma Petersen says:
I totally heart Sia! I want her new song but you can only get it on the freaking Eclipse soundtrack. BOO!
I haven’t really found much new music lately.
Shelley Munro says:
Um, should I admit I’ve never heard of Sia? I haven’t bought any music for a while either.
