I’m doing it. I’m crazy but I’m doing it. Working on a couple of projects – it’s just the kick in the butt I need to keep going and accomplish what I want to get done by the end of the month.
You see, this December I want to focus more on Christmas traditions. Spending quality time with my kids, having fun, making memories. And all of it will be documented in my December Daily album. Days one through twenty-five, I’m going to have a scrapbook entry for every one of them. I’m preparing the album now. Once I’m finished I’ll share the pre-documented pages.
Being more present in my life during the holidays instead of thinking about a book project is my goal. Hence the kick butt-ness of NaNo. I need it to get all that writing in so I can focus on the other good stuff. Of course, I always go through a major distracted writing slump in January which isn’t good but hey, I’ll try and stay on track for the new year…
But anywho, back to NaNo. I already blogged about it at the Sizzling Pens but is anyone else out there doing it? Wanna be my writing buddy? I’m under the name karenerickson. How original! Just keepin’ it real.
Even though the Thanksgiving holdiday looms at the end of the month and oh, of course, we’re hosting it at our house, I’m not worried. I’m gonna win this NaNo thing. 50k or bust baby!
