Anyone been able to check out the Perseid Meteor Shower? Talk about awesome! We watched it Tuesday night and last night and just…wow. Tuesday night I saw the biggest ball of white light in the sky EVER. And last night we saw so many of them it was mind blowing. At one point, I saw two streak across the sky parallel to each other. So freaking cool! Living in the country has its advantages – like clear skies.
Living in the country means we can also…raise chickens! My husband worked all summer building a chicken coop and he did a great job. They’re living in style! We have 15 hens, they’re about four weeks old. They are goofy. And noisy. And one of them is named Loribelle because she loves yard bird more than life.

There they are. Not the best pic because let me tell you, those girls are FAST. So yeah. Chickens! I still can’t believe it myself.
Last, I want to shout out to everyone who bought Jesse’s Girl. It’s already number five in the Top Ten at MBAM! Whoo hoo!!! THANK YOU! If you’ve read it, I hope you enjoyed it! And if you haven’t read it, what are you waiting for? It’s cheap, only $2.25 this week! Yay!

Kristen Painter says:
I tried to watch the meteors last night but we had too much cloud cover! I love the chickens. I wish we could have them.
Shelli Stevens says:
OMG! You named one Loribelle! I love it! Ha ha! I wish I could see the meteors
Shelley Munro says:
I’m envious. I really want some chickens. No meteors here. It’s overcast and horrid.
Loribelle Hunt says:
Omg! You didn’t! LMAO!
