Now I’m not a huge sports fan but I had to mention that the Fresno State Bulldogs mens’ baseball team won its first national baseball championship Wednesday night.
Around here it’s kind of a big deal. Fresno has major Bulldog fever. My husband has major Bulldog fever. So we’ve been watching these games the last few nights on edge, watching the team come out of literally nowhere and win this. You gotta feel good watching something like that!
It also makes me want to write a baseball player story. Of course. Cute boys in uniforms? Who wouldn’t?!

But answer this question: Do you enjoy going to sporting events during the summer? Or do you prefer staying home and watching them on TV? Or do you say boo to all sporting events? I have many a fond memory of watching the Fresno Grizzlies (SF Giants farm team) back when they still played at Fresno State…

I love sports - with me it’s rugby and netball, which are both winter sports down here. Since it’s often raining I tend to watch on TV while sitting near the heater. In summer I like going to rodeos.

I would love to go to a baseball game or to the US Open, but tickets are very expensive in NY so I watch them at home.

My menfolk are into Nascar, cycling and motocross, and we do most of our watching on tv.

I’m not a big sports fan, but I do love seeing ANY sport live (except maybe golf - YAWN!) Hey, I really just yawned as I was typing that
The hero in my current wip is a pro soccer player(ahem - football, as my English husband is quick to correct) and I’ve been trying to get tickets to a Toronto game - you know, for research (to say nothing of hot toned men running about). Alas… Completely sold out all summer. Apparently soccer is really popular in Canada. Go figure…

I hate the heat so I prefer to watch my sports in my air conditioned living room. Just too hot here in the South.
