It’s here with a vengeance where I’m at. Talk about hot. I believe the predicted high today is 106 degrees.
Ugh. Thank goodness we have a pool. Guess where I’m going to be today? Yes I plan on going to the local little market (where they gouge my eyes out with the price of stuff but I’m desperate), picking up some poolside snacks and me and the kids are gonna hang out poolside.
I’m giving myself a little break because I finished my book. Yep it’s done. And yes I’m a little sad but I didn’t have to resort to crying and lighting candles so that’s a good thing.
What are you doing this weekend? Whatever it is, have fun and stay cool!

I’m feeling really grateful at the moment that I don’t live where you do! Our high for the day is supposed to hit 83 degrees and that’s about perfect for me. Stay cool! Wish I could send you some ice cold lemonaid!

Right now we are having a thunderstorm. So, I probably shouldn’t be on the computer . . . oh well. Poolside sounds really nice instead being stuck inside.
Wylie says:
I have pool envy!!
It’s a gorgeous day here in the Toronto area. My kids are playing in the backyard and I’m hiding away in my bedroom with my laptop… exactly where I want to be
Isabelle Santiago says:
106? That sounds dreadful! I love being poolside but that kind of weather is just dangerous! Gah…
Congrats on finishing your book miss awesome. ^_^ Enjoy the day off! You totally deserve it!
Karen says:
Oh yeah it’s like 109 out there right now. We haven’t even been to the pool yet, we’ve been running around. So now I believe we’re going. Right at its hottest point. Sheesh.
Hope we don’t melt.
Marisa says:
Congratulations of finishing your book!! What a huge accomplishment. I really want to read one of your books. I don’t generally go to bookstores (only because I don’t live near one), but I’ll have to get it on Amazon!
Summer is definitely Hot Hot Hot for us, here in TX. Thank goodness for air conditioning!
Kelley Nyrae says:
It’s way too hot in Southern Cali too. It’s killing me. I don’t like to leave my house at all.
