I’m a tad fascinated with them at the moment. I’m trying to buy up stuff with birds on them. Or at least look at stuff I can buy with birds on them. But I just don’t want any bird, oh no. It has to look a certain way.

Like these birdies! Oooh such pretty paper. It’s from K&Company – part of the Mira collection.
I don’t scrapbook anymore – I don’t have the time and it makes me feel guilty. Sigh. But I found this awesome little project that requires scrapbooking stuff to make the project pretty pretty and so I stumbled upon the Mira collection at Michael’s.
And proceeded to buy so much of it I had a moment of stunned silence when the salesperson gave me the total of my purchase.
But I didn’t spot the above paper! And now I WANT IT. Sigh. I think I need to go back to Michael’s.
What are you liking right now? Any projects planned for the summer?
p.s. — If my project turns out cute (and with the Mira collection I don’t see how it wouldn’t but we’ll see. I have been known to screw things up royally) I’ll share pics. I swear.

Gasp! That is cute! I love Michael’s. I used to work there, my first job evah.
I need to get back into scrapbooking. I just did a cross stitch project, but now I’d like to do a simpler one just for me so it’s not such a rush.
I’ll have more time this summer. LOL!
I used to do watercolors. I did watercolor Japanese birds. It’s been a long time … I wonder if I can still do them?
Karen says:
I probably would’ve made zero money at Michael’s if I worked there, Amy.
And watercolor Japanese birds? Sounds beautiful!!
Wylie says:
I’m SO not crafty. I wish I was… and I do try occassionally, but I just can’t ever seem to recreate my visions.
That said, I still love Michaels! Great stuff for kid projects.
Your birdy paper is adorable *squee*

I have ripped up the carpet in the upstairs bathroom. It made me want to throw up. I’m painting the plywood floor. Corinn, Callie, and I ripped off the wallpaper and I have been writing and painting different quotes and such all of the walls. I will then rub them down with wax to age them. Not sure that it counts as a project, but it dang sure feels like one.
