I’m thisclose to finishing the book I’ve been working on. Yes so close I can taste it. So close that I believe it will be finished this evening (which is really Wednesday evening but you know what I mean).
I’m gonna be sad to finish this one people. I love my characters. I don’t always feel this way, sometimes I’m so thankful to be finished it’s not even funny but sigh…not this one. I’m going into mourning when I’m done. I’ll light little candles and wipe away the tears.
Well I won’t go to that extreme but you get the picture.
In other writing news, I sold a novella to Ellora’s Cave entitled Hidden. I’ll have more information as it becomes available but this is the first book of a planned series. The series title is Sin City Shifters. Yes! I’m writing shifter books! Hidden is about a woman who is half-dragon. Daisy the dragon! She’s fun.
And that’s it. What’s new with you?

Marisa says:
Aw, I bet it is hard to move on, sometimes!! I feel like that when I’ve finished a picture that I just love. I can imagine that it is intensified 100 x when it is a book you have been working on and character’s that you have really gotten to know and love. (hugs) for your moments of mourning!!
Karen says:
It can be very hard to move on sometimes but I’ll be okay. I think. LOL
You’re so sweet Marisa! Thank you for the hugs.
Isabelle Santiago says:
Even though it’s hard to let them go sometimes, I know that you’ll be beaming with pride when your kiddies find a great home in that big publishing world out there! So keep it up! You can do it!
Amy Ruttan says:
CONGRATS!! Ooh I love dragon shifters.
I know what you mean. I felt that way recently about my last WIP.
I’m trying to get started on something else. Trying. *sigh*
Karen says:
Thank you Isabelle and Amy for the words of encouragement.
I understand the frustration of starting something and it just not working Amy. Ugh do I ever…
Emma Petersen says:
WOOT! WOOT! Go Diddy! Go Diddy!

Susan Helene Gottfried says:
A few days late to the party, but congratulations on the sale!
