Can you see that? Can you tell who came to visit a couple of days ago? Yeah it’s a bobcat.
We get a lot of bobcats around here. They freak me out a little cos sometimes they get too close for comfort. Like this dude. He lounged in my back field all afternoon - at one point sitting on a rock like he was king of the world, sunning himself. When I took his pic I chased him off for a while. Then he came back.
Funny how when he was around, my cats were gone. Invisible. I’d love to know where they hid. I don’t blame them. This guy wasn’t as big as some of them I’ve seen but he’d definitely take my cats out no prob.
Ah livin’ in the country. Ain’t it grand?

Tempest Knight says:
Oh, I’d love to see a real bobcat. Yeah, I know it’s not exciting. But since we don’t have any in Puerto Rico, it’d definitely be an experience.
Isabelle Santiago says:
That’s crazy! Exhilirating! And a little scary! Ha ha. Being one with nature has its perks and its… umm… dangers?
Caryn says:
That’s so cool! A couple of friends of mine saw a bobcat around here a few days ago, but I’ve never seen one. I’m kind of jealous. Though our cats are definitely indoor cats. They don’t have very good survival instincts, and I’m not sure they’d hide in time.
Kelley Nyrae says:
Thats scary. When I lived Oregon we had a problem with mountain lions. Very scary. This one chased a neighbhor to her car. I’d come home from work at 11 PM and we made sure to have outside lights and stuff. It would freak me out.
Meg says:
Bobcats, coyotes and snakes…all part of living out in the country…
Bobcats are pretty much harmless in my opinion…mountain lions on the other hand are down right scary. Those suckers WILL chase you. I woke up in the middle of the night one night to find one scratching at my door…yikes!
Karen says:
Ok the mountain lion scratching at the door would freak me out!!! I’d
animals like that from my yard if I could. LOL
Supposedly we have one in the area though I’ve never seen him…
And Kelley your story is freaky too. Yikes! Chasing to the car???
Sandie Fortes says:
Hmmmm. Looks more like a coyote to me. See you Sunday.
