My printer died. It had lived a long (for a printer) life and it was time to get a new one. After seeing the ultra cool all in one Kodak printer on The Celebrity Apprentice (yes yes I watched it but I quit - it got REALLY stupid), I decided I wanted it. The ink cartridges are cheap and the amount they print is over double of the average printer.
Sunday armed with my children, we went printer shopping. I couldn’t find the model I wanted anywhere (sold out) and I ended up buying the display model at Office Depot.
Big mistake.
What a POS! I did everything I was supposed to, troubleshooting it until I couldn’t troubleshoot it anymore and I flat out couldn’t make the black ink work. So I took it back.
And went to Best Buy and bought the even bigger and badder model with no problems. It’s sitting next time as we speak, all pretty and shiny and ready to print out the partial I’m sending out tomorrow. Yay!
One word of advice - Never buy the display model. They suck.
Painting progress: The bathroom is going well! I would say in two days I’ll be finished. I have to do it in shifts ‘cos it needs to be done in layers and I have to let the layers dry. So a couple of hours over the next few days and I’ll be done! And pics will be shared, don’t worry…

So I’ve wanted to paint my third bathroom for a long time. Like I planned on doing it back when youngest didn’t even exist and my daughter was an INFANT. Remember this is the girl who just turned five.
Yeah, I’ve waited long enough.
Hub is out of town so me and the kids went shopping today! First I bought a printer (ok and that was a total fiasco and should be saved for another blog post, how ’bout tomorrow since the saga continues?) and then we went to Lowe’s. Yay! We bought paint! Three gallons, three different colors. One for the bathroom, one for the laundry room and one for the office.
The bathroom is going to be…wait for it…yes okay…purple! Well, it’s called Raspberry Wine. Oooh, that means Feisty will like it cos not only does she like purple, but she also likes wine. Sorry couldn’t resist…
I just started painting. It’s going to take many layers to get that deep wine color I want. Plus I’m painting a very small room and there’s no window. Gaaah. This is why I’m writing this blog right now. I’m letting the toxins clear from my nasal passages.
I’ll share pics when I’m done, I swear!
So what are YOU doing right now?

So the kids and I went on a walk a couple of days ago and I took my camera with me. Here’s a tree in our back field:

While we were waaaay out there Cheetah the cat saw us and came running at us meowing like crazy. I think he thinks he’s human. Here he is posing:

And telling us how he really feels:

Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

So my good friend R.G. Alexander’s book is available today over at Ellora’s Cave.

Who Wants To Date A Superhero? Who can resist a title like that? Not me.
So what are you waiting for? Go forth and buy it!

I stare at this blue heart everyday. I bought it (OMG) ten years ago at the Sawdust Art Festival in Laguna Beach. My friend Tammy’s uncle is an artist who lives in Laguna so I went with her one weekend to visit him and his wife. We had so much fun. I was a single mama back then and broke as anything but I still managed to scrape up $5 and get this glass paperweight.

Are you getting anything for V Day? Well, the hub offered to take my car to get it detailed today. So that’s my present - and I love it! My car was a pit from hell. Let’s see how long I (i.e. the sloppy kids in the backseat) can keep it clean.

This last week was insane. I was barely home because it turned into a week long celebration of my daughter’s birthday. She turned five. I took her and her friend to get a princess makeover.
That’s my girl on the left. Aren’t they precious?
I’m talking about Valentine’s Day over at the Sizzling Pens today. Is it your favorite holiday or do you wish it would vanish forever? Head on over there and tell me!

So my friend Tracy’s book is out today at eHarlequin. It’s called No Apologies and lemme tell ya, it’s hawt!

Obsession. Annalise knew the word, but for the first time in her life, she was experiencing the reality. She couldn’t get enough of Gabe. The more he satisfied her hunger, the more that hunger grew. She’d never felt anything like this for anyone–never allowed herself to. But now Annalise, queen of the love ‘em and leave ‘em crowd, was on the verge of falling head over heels in love–and she didn’t like it one bit. The problem was, the more she tried to maintain her control, the more she ignited Gabe’s fury…and the hotter the sex became.
I met Tracy almost three years ago (!!!) in Reno at my first RWA conference. I was a complete newbie, I had no idea what I was doing. I met her on the last day at lunch and we talked like we knew each other forever!
Watch for her - she’s an up and comer. A Harlequin Superromance coming out at the end of the year and two books with NAL next year! Congrats Tracy!
