So I don’t think I’ve really shown this off though it’s over there in the sidebar.

My new book from Samhain, coming March 4th. You can even read the blurb and an excerpt on the coming soon page.
I think it’s hot. Scott Carpenter did it - I think he found the perfect image, she totally reminds me of my heroine.
In other news Santa Baby got a four star review from JERR. Here’s a snippet of what Mahaira said: “Ms. Erickson does such a good job of fleshing out the fun and feisty May-December romance that you can forgive the fact that there’s not a huge twist on the usual plot…it’s sure to guarantee you a few hours of escape.”
I like that quote cos the book could’ve sucked. Considering how short it was I didn’t go too crazy with plot twists and turns, I just wanted something fun and light for the holidays. I’m glad Mahaira liked it. JERR kinda freaks me out, when I get a good review from them I breathe a sigh of relief.
Anything going on in blogland?

I’ve already blogged about this before but I’m doing it again. I’m obsessed with Duran Duran again. Namely, their Red Carpet Massacre CD. Oh my God, it’s fabulous. I listen to it all the time. My kids are starting to know the words to the songs cos I play it in the car. I’m hooked.
Their last CD that came out, I was so excited. All the members were back together - just like old times, baby! I eagerly bought that CD, loaded it into my player in the car and started listening.
Hated every blessed song. Thought they all sucked. I was so disappointed. Wah.
When I heard they had a new CD I was like bleh. Who cares? But then Robin L. Rotham mentioned how good their new song was. I saw the Biography on them on the Biography channel and I broke down and bought it.
I don’t regret it! So if you’re a fan of DD, go buy it. You’ll like it, trust me.

In this two-part workshop, we’ll cover every subject imaginable! This will be done in an open discussion format, where we will interact with our audience, introducing various topics and answering questions. In Part One, we’ll discuss the basics of writing sex, and our experience in the erotica and erotic romance market. In Part Two, we talk about edgier subjects.
This online workshop can be done in one day, or in segments lasting up to three days in a Question and Answer format.
BIOS :
Eden Bradley writes dark, edgy erotica. She’s published with Bantam, Berkley, Harlequin Spice, Phaze and Magic Carpet Books. Her first Bantam novel, THE DARK GARDEN, was a Romantic Times Top Pick in June 2007 and is a Reviewer’s Choice nominee, and has been praised as “the most beautifully written BDSM novel…ever…” by Love Romances & More. Erotica author Maria Isabel Pita has called Eden’s work “elegant, intelligent and sensual”. She has a number of erotic novels, novellas and short stories coming out from her various publishers in 2008 and into 2009.
Eden, the 2008 president of her local Romance Writers of America chapter, Los Angeles Romance Authors, has also published a number of articles on writing sex, and has presented her workshop, An Exercise in Sensuality, at several Romance Writer’s of America chapters. News and updates can be found on her website: www.EdenBradley.com .
You can also visit her at her blog: www.edenbradley.blogspot.com .
Lillian Feisty writes fresh erotic fiction for Ellora’s Cave, Harlequin Spice Briefs and Grand Central Publishing. Her first novella, Dance of the Plain Jane, was called a “stand out” story by Romantic Times and a “particular favorite” by Just Erotic Romance Reviews. Feisty, as her friends call her, writes in many genres of romantic fiction including contemporary, urban fantasy, and light paranormal. I Love Lacy and The Sting of Desire will be released in 2008.
Ms. Feisty owned an art gallery for several years, holds a degree in Creative Arts and was just a few units short of her MA when she decided to drop out of school to write smut. She currently serves as president of Passionate Ink, the special interest chapter of Romance Writers of America for erotic romance authors. She loves to ramble about the strangest things at lillianfeisty.com.
Alessia Brio: Take one part Appalachian redneck, one part insatiable sex goddess, and one part filthy-minded wordsmith. Mix well and serve with chocolate-covered cherries. There you have the one and only Alessia Brio. Alessia writes all colors and flavors of erotica, from heterosexual to ménage to same sex, and from twisted to humorous to deeply touching. (Sometimes, usually by accident, it even qualifies as romance.) Her work has earned her critical acclaim in the form of an EPPIE for Best Erotica ( fine flickering hungers) and a Romantic Times Top Pick (Coming Together: For the Cure) in addition to a plethora of glowing online reviews. Readers can find her online at alessiabrio.com

My first book, Virgin Jewels is now available from Ellora’s Cave!!! Yay!! Go forth and buy it! It’s hot, it’s sexy, it’s NAUGHTY!

The Virgin’s Blood necklace is legendary. Simple in appearance, it wields a sexual power only its true owners can experience.Hannah doesn’t understand why the newest acquisition at her family’s jewelry store makes her ache so deliciously. When Colin visits the shop and tells the necklace’s erotic tale, Hannah’s further enflamed — for the necklace and the man.Borrowing the necklace, she has mind-blowing sex with Colin, the power of the stones overwhelming. But for normally shy Hannah, the experience is bittersweet. Her alluring aggressiveness isn’t real — it’s the Virgin’s Blood Jewels. She can’t keep the necklace, and fears she’ll lose Colin without it. But Colin knows more about the jewels than he’s telling.
In case you haven’t noticed, I’m kind of excited…
Happy weekend everyone!

Yes, I’m going to promo like a mad dog this week because you see I have this scorching hot book coming out this Friday, Virgin Jewels. My first book evah with Ellora’s Cave. Oooh yeah I’m excited!
Ellora’s Cave was my goal in 2007. I wrote like a crazy woman, submitting to their various calls of submission. Yes I received a few rejections, even one that said “almost but not quite.” That one was a bummer. But I kept on writing, kept working towards that goal.
In fact, one weekend I busted out a Quickie (about 14k words) and sent it off to submission land, aimed at the Jewels of the Nile series. I worked so hard to meet that July 1 deadline only to find out they pushed it to August 1! I was bummed that I could’ve taken the time to work on it a little more but oh, well. Such is life.
Imagine my surprise when I received an email in my spam inbox from an editor at EC. I thought it was a rejection but it wasn’t. It was a revise and resubmit letter and I was beyond excited! And worried. And nervous. She wanted me to expand on the characters, make the story a little longer, make it stronger. Eeek!
I worked HARD. My husband was out of town and it was August, it was just me and the kids. I got sick, terribly sick with a stomach bug that lingered for days. But I had to push through, finish that revision even if it killed me!
It just about did.
So a few days after I resubmitted it I get an email from the wonderful editor. As I kept reading, I noticed I was getting beat up. I even had a few bruises and I was like ow! She hated it! She’s rejecting me. But no…she said that even though this and that still needed lots o’ work she loved the characters and she loved the story and yes, she’d like to offer me a contract. But it was going to need a lot of edits and was I ready for that? I should think about it before I said yes.
Ha! Like I’d say no to that! And let me tell you, I’m so glad I said yes. I have a great editor who’s taught me a lot. Trust me, I just went through edits on the second book (a sequel of sorts to Virgin Jewels! Squee!). Whew! But all of that hard work was worth it.
I hope you find it worth it too if you’re kind enough to ever read my books.

Thanks to everyone who bought them! And hey, have a fabulous weekend!
More man flesh…I agree with Lauren, I like a little hair on the chest but I think this guy is hawt. And I know I’ve posted him on my blog before but damn it, he deserves to be on here again. Just ‘cos.
