I like to make sugar cookies in holiday shapes. I’m keeping up the family tradition, I think. My grandma and I used to always make Christmas cookies and sometimes even Halloween cookies. My stepdad likes her Christmas cookies so much she makes a special big ol’ batch just for him in the shape of Christmas trees. A really old cookie cutter, too. You just don’t see them like that anymore and I want it. My grandma has quit making the cookies and I want that cookie cutter! But I digress…
Yesterday me and the two youngest made Halloween cookies. It took over three hours! But it was fun. And we made some really cool cookies. Check ‘em out.
Yes I’m demented, I made gravestones with my children’s names on it! I also made one for me and the hub. The kids were just happy to have their names on cookies.
Look at the candy corn cookie I made! I ROCK.
The mess. It was a huge mess. But that’s okay. I obsessively cleaned the rest of the house after this. I was exhausted by the end of the night and still managed to churn out 3k on my novella! Whoo hoo!!
This Sweatin’ with Sven thing is working out pretty good.

It’s been going great this week! So much better than last week, that’s for sure. I’m hauling arse on my novella that I’m working on for EC - hope to have it turned in by early next week. Then it’s back to tweaking the full length and also finishing the historical attempt (aaack!). And then I need to work on my Vampire Oracle story.
Did I mention that story ever on this blog? Yeah I suck so bad. I’m contracted with Cobblestone Press as part of the Vampire Oracle series and my tarot card is “Shadow.” I have a lot of great ideas for this story, have outlined it and written some notes and I look forward to working on it! Yay!
Oh! And here’s one of the hottest covers I’ve been fortunate enough to have. It’s for my book Breaking Free (comes out 11/25 at Amber Quill Press) which is really super naughty. Yeah, I’m a bad girl. Here it is –

After having a failed first week of Seventy Days of Sweat, I’m back on track for a stupendous week of non-stop writing (at least, that’s what I’m telling myself). I wrote over 2k last night and I’m on track for the same today. Woot!
Compared to last week when I went out of town, went to a pumpkin patch, got sick and had to take my precious baby boy to the ER cos he had blood gushing from his head (head wounds bleed a LOT). Yeah, it was eventful to say the least.
Now I want calm and quiet. I want to write. I want Sven damn it!
