And I need to do some serious writing, organizing, cleaning, etc. So I’m going to be mostly offline for the next few days. Though I need to blog hop. I feel bad, I haven’t done it all week!

Hope you all have a hot and steamy weekend. I know it’s gonna be pretty hot and steamy here in way too sunny CA!

I originally went through an ebay addiction back in 03 when I first really discovered it. I had dial up back then, and I would tie up the phone lines for HOURS. So long that one time my husband was out of town, my friend couldn’t get a hold of me (cos I was trolling ebay) and so she sent our neighbor over to check on me. He shows up at my doorstep at ten o’clock at night with a gun in his hand! They thought I died or something!
See how dangerous ebay is?
Shelli has been all over ebay lately (well so has Emma) and she even put a few items up for sale. She’s telling me people are watching her stuff, she hopes she sells it for a good price, etc. And it gets me excited. I tell her I have stuff to sell, I should do it too. She tells me to go for it.
So I do! I put up a few items (which took forever, talk about tedious!), set it all up. And I actually have people watching my stuff - and a bid! How exciting is this?
Ok maybe I’m the simple pleasures kind of chick but hey, this is fun. I’m checking my items all the time to see if someone else is watching them. Bidding on them, whatever. I’m looking around my house for other stuff to sell. The kids better watch out - THEY might end up on ebay!

SUCKS ASS!!
Oh, whoops, sorry I got carried away. Let me get my wits about me, I just got back from a shopping excursion with my two youngest children.
**Slurps down the rest of my Starbucks coffee in one gulp**
Ok, much better. I don’t know why I attempt to shop with my two children. They are four and two - and lemme tell ya, it’s not easy taking those two out and about. Both husband and I shopped with them today and it was…awful.
They whined, they fussed, they didn’t want to ride in the cart (at Target or Lowe’s), they wanted everything. At Lowe’s the two year old was a wild man, wanting to climb everything they had and threw a minor fit over a Sponge Bob lamp. I turned to my husband and said, “This is why I don’t go anywhere.” His reply?
“I don’t blame you.”
On the drive home they crashed and husband and I smiled at each other in glee. No more whining! No more crying! Yay! Then husband said, ”No wonder my parents tried to embarrass me as much as possible when I was a teenager. I’m going to do the same thing to our kids as payback.”
Sweeter words were never spoken.
On another note, I have another group blog to go check out! Visit the Sizzling Pens now!

So I’d been stressing out last week. I wasn’t motivated, couldn’t write, didn’t want to clean. I’d look around the house and think, “Nah.” I’d sit down at my computer, open up a Word doc and think, “Nah.” I’d go into the kitchen and look in the pantry and say out loud, “Hey kids you want cereal for dinner?”
Yeah, I sucked. Big time.
So Friday night it hit me. I was all keyed up and anxious - and I couldn’t even pinpoint what it was. I glanced around, caught sight of the scattered toys all over the floor, the jumble of crap on my desk and I realized…
I seriously needed to clean house.
My messy house was making me anxious. Cluttering up my brain so I could barely see straight! Saturday morning I woke up bright and early, ate breakfast, checked my email, IM’d with friends for a few scant minutes and then off I went. On a crazed cleaning binge.
I tossed toys, rearranged my kids’ stuff, purged the living room, and basically cleaned everything for a solid eight hours. Eight hours! I only took a half hour for lunch. I was exhausted by the end of the day and of course I couldn’t write but let me tell you this. I felt a thousand times better. A million times better.
Now I have to admit that with two children under the age of four and a husband and teenage son with lacking pick-up skills, the house isn’t in the best shape but it’s all surface. I can clean it up in a few minutes. And I feel at peace. “Serenity now!” is with me (thank you Seinfeld - well really George’s dad but that’s beside the point).
Let’s see how long this lasts…

My book Covet, a 2007 Amber Heatwave winner, is available today from Amber Quill Press ~ Amber Heat.

Jenny is used to getting what she wants, but the one thing she covets the most is the handsome, elusive, and seemingly unattainable Tyrone Holt…naked…and in her bed! At a jazz club, a chance meeting between them leads to several sizzling encounters they can’t forget. But neither of them “do” relationships. Will Jenny and Tyrone make an exception to their own rule?
This book is hot - SIZZLING HOT. I believe it’s my naughtiest book out yet.
So go check it out - you know you want to!
