So…thanks to the convincing of Ms. Lillian Feisty (and she didn’t have to convince me much at all, trust me), we’re going to the RT Convention! Oh my gosh! There’s so much I need to do to get ready for this thing! I still can’t even believe I’m going!
But it sounds like it’s gonna be fun. And exhausting. Have you seen these parties? Have you heard of these costume balls? I’m freaking out just thinking about it!
In other news, I sold a short story to The Wild Rose Press! I don’t have many details, but watch for A Taste of Revenge coming out soon!
Also, Passionate Ink’s April workshop is coming up soon and it’s gonna be a good one.
Theme and Scene
Date : April 16-22, 2007

Theme is the glue that holds your story together. But it’s also an aid to developing meaningful scenes that connect with your story’s emotional arc. This workshop can help you enhance your story’s drama and
- determine your theme
- discover the motifs your subconscious snuck in there
- use parallelism and the “theme dialectic” to structure your scene progression
- use the motifs to develop important scenes
Theme is generally considered a complex issue, studied in all college lit courses, but in this workshop, you’ll discover its practical uses for improving the story you’ve started.

OMG! How fun! I wish I was going! But we could only afford one conference this year and I’m heading to RWA National in hopes of connecting with some YA editors/agents for my new YA romance stuff. And I figured I was too whipped physically this year for a bunch of parties. But maybe next year….hmmm…
