Thirteen Things Driving Me to Boycott American Idol
1. Sanjaya
2. Paula’s drunken/weird behavior & and her jangling jewelry
3. Poor song choices (after six seasons I don’t know why this still happens)
4. People being booted when they SHOULDN’T (don’t get my started about last night)
5. Sanjaya
6. It’s all fake - ALL OF IT
7. Ryan Seacrest and his teasing/drawing out of the results - aaah!
8. The blatant Coke promotion via the cups facing outwards at ALL TIMES
9. Sanjaya
10. Cheesy Ford commercials
11. When they all sing a la the Brady Bunch at the beginning - blech
12. Guest judges (oh just stop using them! Please!)
13. Sanjaya (Tell me why he’s still there people!)

LMAO! Actually, I just can’t watch it at all. It’s too painful. I hate watching people embarrass themselves. It’s something I JUST CAN’T TAKE! (I’m quirky that way.) ;-)

I really don’t feel bad about not watching this show. I find the early shows mean and the later shows annoying. But I do understand the appeal of why people like it.
I’d rather watch Rockstar!

All of those reasons are valid-especially Sanjaya-did you see the little girl crying as he sang-as if he were Elvis? Geesh. I dont usually watch-but I can’t seem to help it this year. Its like a sad promotional pimping train-and I feel a need to yell at Simon once a week even though he’s usually honest {but rude!}. I need an AI intervention. {although Melinda is lovely}

Sanjaya is still on because too many 11 year old girls are allowed to use the telephone. grrrrrr.

And there are maybe 3 good singers this year. The rest suck. Bring back last year’s crew!

Anyway, what I’ve been trying to say is that Sanjaya drives me nuts. I’m sure he’s a great guy, but *I* can sing better, and I sound like a squirrel getting its tail pulled.

I watch faithfully despite all the reasons you listed and I got teary eyed when Stephanie left last night, because truly, Sanjaya should’ve been long gone. His smile has turned into a grimace. Even he can’t believe he’s still there and WHY can’t Randy and Paula be honest with him? His ‘best’ preformance? NOT!
