My friend was supposed to come over and make cookies with all our kids yesterday but her car broke down and so…I decided to make cookies with just me and my kids.
Big mistake. Took all the spirit right out of my sails. But the cookies turned out nice (frosted sugar cookies!).
Then I went to a chat last night with fellow CP authors Shelli Stevens, Crystal Jordan and Emma Petersen at Romance Junkies. I had to bail cos then I had to go to my daughter’s preschool Christmas performance. So that was a fly by chat, lemme tell ya.
My daughter’s class was so cute! They sang Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to Jesus. So precious! Then we went on a hay ride. It was so cold! But fun. My kids had a blast.
This morning it’s a whopping 30 degrees and frosty as can be outside. Brrr! How’s the weather in YOUR neck of the woods?

Robin L. Rotham says:
I can’t wait till all my kids are old enough to bake cookies without it being a test of my patience.
Weather here is cloudy and nappish. They’re talking accumulating snow soon, which would be a fun change from all this brown blah.
Aren’t preschool programs just the cutest?
Kelley says:
Cool for us. its supposed to be low 60’s I think.
Annalee Blysse says:
We got our first snow on Saturday afternoon here in Reno. Right in time for all the shoppers to be out stuck in it and running into curbs and each other. What a mess. I went to pick up someone at the mall and it took 3 hours RT. That Holly pic is so pretty.
Pam Skochinski says:
We’re a bit south of you in the Antelope Valley. Tehachapi and the Angeles Crest Mtns got snow. . . we just got an artic blast of wind. I don’t think the heater has turned off yet this morning.
Brrrr….
P.S. I got your Christmas Card this weekend. Happy holidays to you and your family!
Shelli Stevens says:
Wow! I think you guys may actually be colder there than here in Seattle
Sounds like fun, especially the hay ride!
Emma Sinclair says:
It’s still fairly warmish here. 50’s I think - though it is still getting cold over night.
JENNA says:
See…I learned last year that kids and cookie dough don’t mix. I’ll make the dough and let them roll & cut…but beyond that? WHAT A MESS!
Melissa Marsh says:
Yay! Frosted sugar cookies! Those sound divine.
I think we’re supposed to get his with snow tomorrow or Thursday. Can’t wait!
Isabella Snow says:
I used to be able to make great choc chip cookies. Have never gotten them to come out correctly here. So I haven’t tried Christmas cookies either.
Maybe Santa will be bring me some!
