I switched to the new Blogger format last week and all was going good. I had a few weird kinks (oh but who doesn’t have a few weird kinks? lol) but other than that, it was fine.
Now no one can post a comment on my blog who has old Blogger (sorry Shelli & Cole!), and when I went to my Dashboard, it said it couldn’t contact with my other group blogs that are still under the old Blogger format. “Try again later.”
Sheesh. Then there’s this whole long letter about how the transition is almost complete and it’s going rather smoothly.
Uh, not really.
So please come back folks. Don’t ditch me! Blame Blogger! I hope it’ll be functioning at normal speed soon.

I’m just going to take up all your comments today - but I think if commenters pick “other” they should be able to comment - they just have to type in their name (and web address if they want).

I think they can still comment, but maybe not from firefox. It should be possible from IE, which is what I had to use to post on a few blogs before I switched to blogger beta.
By the way - I started having issues posting awhile after I switched, cos I didn’t realize there was a new Firefox - once I upgraded, my issues were solved.
Well.. my blogger issues. Don’t worry, y’all, I have loads and load of other issues.

I haven’t updated my blogs. I figure I’ll wait till they give me no choice lol. What’s the difference between the two anyway?

I went through this too. The google/blogger thing has been soooooo frustrating.

I’m here, it just makes me list myself as other now unless I have a google account. Hope they get things better organzied soon. I started to change mine over, but I think I’ll wait since I have read this post.

I’m having this same problem and there are lots of complaints over at the Google help group, but no one from Google seems to be responding. Dirtbags.

I’ve been having issues too. They’re going to have to drag me kicking and screaming to switch the beta version.
I’m going to use “other” for my identity. I hope it works!

Beta hates me. My other persona uses it…and it has gotten MUCH better over the last month…but the comments thing bites a fatooie. Oh…yeah, that’s my cousin’s dentists name. Dr. Fatooie. isn’t that the sound you make when you spit?

I couldn’t log in under blogger, and finally got the invite for beta and downloaded it. Now my group account is screwed up for everyone else!

I have the same problem. When I go to my dashboard it say it can’t find my old stuff and to try again later. Grrr. This is really frustrating.
