Zoinks!

11:06 am • Filed under: Uncategorized

I was in bed before 8:30 last night! I never go to bed that early! But I was exhausted - and I have a minor head cold that’s annoying more than anything. I believe it drained me of all my energy though, so I took some Alka Selzer nighttime cold and cough medicine (this stuff is the bomb) and passed out.

It’s now seven in the morning and I feel pretty good. It’s briskly cold and frosty outside. Scooby’s on TV (hence the post title). I’m getting my hair highlighted and cut today. Life’s all right.

Hey a bunch of authors (including myself) will be over at Novelspotters this Saturday chatting up our December releases. Come visit us - we’ll be giving away books and everything!

Hope you good day continues and I’ll try and stop by on Saturday.

  2. Emma Sinclair says:

Glad you’re feeling better - hope it stays that way.

  3. Melissa Marsh says:

When I was a stay-at-home mom and pregnant, my stepson used to watch Scooby Doo every single day. I’m sure I had dreams about it since I used to take lots of naps back then. ;-)

There are nights I’m so beat, I turn in at 8:30. It’s the kids. I swear sometimes they have the power to drain me like cheap batteries. If only I had half the energy I use to have.

    Glad you’re feeling better!

    Hope you’re feeling better.

I’m stealing the cool graphic lol!

It’s definately the kids — I think they are psychically connected to me. . .when I’m the most tired, they are the most active. They don’t need my attention until I’m busy. And I tried getting up at 5 am to write. . .well, then the kids get up at 5:05 when they normally sleep until 6 or 6:30. Argh!

    Hope you feel better.

I love a good night’s rest. I went to bed around 9:30 on Saturday night and didn’t wake up until 11 am. Beat that! But I felt so good when I woke up! It was so needed.

    Hope you’re feeling better!

Ooh, Amanda, you’re so lucky! I can’t remember the last time I got to sleep like that! It’s definitely the kids. They keep you up when you want to go to bed and wake you up before you’re ready.

I’ve got the head cold, too, Karen. I’ll be taking Nyquil for mine — that stuff always makes me sleep like the dead. Hope you get over yours quickly!

So glad you’re feeling better! I’m gonna have to remember the Alka Seltzer! I usually swear by Nyquil, that stuff knocks you out! I take that and chase it with a small glass of wine, talk about sleeping like a baby!

    With Love,
    Tara M.
