It’s going to be a silly blog kind of week. I don’t feel like writing anything too serious - I have too much going on and my brain is still a little empty because of this cold. I believe I’ve coughed most of my brain cells out. Ugh.
So check out this pic of Clark Gable. I don’t find him drop dead gorgeous, but I lurved him as Rhett Butler in Gone with the Wind. I just watched that movie again this summer after many many years. Scarlett is so awful - what the hell did he see in her? And I read the book long ago - she was even worse in that! Oh well…
I need to find a pic of the actor Lawrence Olivier back in his day - whew, he was real purty!
Don’t forget to leave a comment - then you’re entered into my contest to win a $5 Starbucks gift card and a bookmark! Come on, that’ll buy you one drink and leave change for another one, plus a bookmark? Cool!

Cathy says:
I agree about Clark Gable. The only reason I will occassionally watch Gone With The Wind again is because of Rhett Butler. Got so, so tired of Scarlet…
alissa says:
Sir laurence Olivier was the ultimate. The classic leading man at that time handsome and perfection.
Tara M. Leigh says:
Clark Gable was not overly hot, but there was something about the Rhett character he played. Made you want to be a bad girl!LOL GWTW is my absolute favorite movie!
With Love,
Tara M.
Marianne says:
jdClark Gable was okay, and I enjoyed watching Sir Laurence Olivier but no one can beat Cary Grant. Oh my!
April says:
I never did get Rhett’s attraction to Scarlette. But I never said anything because I thought it was just me. Glad to hear it’s not.
Hope you’re feeling better soon!!
M.E Ellis says:
That hair under his nose…*shudder*
:o)
joelle says:
I think that Laurence Olivier is absolutely gorgeous. When he was young he was a total hearthrob.
Karen Erickson says:
Yeah, Cary Grant was hot stuff! And a smooth voice to die for!
I heard that Clark Gable had terrible breath and Vivian Leigh could hardly stand to be near him. Which of course slants my view on him forever….
ellie says:
Clark Gable was a real man, with substance and integrity. Sir Laurence Olivier was a total dreamboat.
pearl says:
I love watching the old movies when there were real actors who could act like Clark Gable etc. Not any more though
sharon says:
Stay well and rest up. Love your blog this week. Enjoy the Clark Gable pic for sure.

Okay - can I confess I have never seen Gone With the Wind. I started it when I was younger and promptly feel asleep.. I know..horrible.
Not having seen Clark Gable, I would have to go with Errol Flynn in Robin Hood.
Stacy Dawn says:
Sure hope you feel better soon!
I’m afraid I’m a Cary Grant kinda gal LOL.
Kelley says:
You know I’ve never read Gone With the Wind or even seen the movie?! I’ve always wanted too, but I havent!
Sharon J says:
I never understood what he saw in Scarlet, either. But then that’s love for you. Blind and all that, y’know.
He could have put his boots under my bed if he’d asked. No, change that. He wouldn’t even have to have asked!
Cherie says:
I never understood the attraction between Rhett and Scarlet either. I guess love is truly blind.
