Bugs

2:01 am • Filed under: Uncategorized

I live in the country and get lots of ‘em. It sucks. Tonight I’m minding my own business at my computer not writing anything whatsoever and the biggest fly I’ve ever seen buzzed over and landed right on the corner of my monitor. Worked his little front legs over his face like he was settling in for the long night.

Uh no. I rolled up my latest issue of RWR and swatted him dead. Nice.

And for whatever reason there are some pretty large spiders hanging out in our house. I kill multiples every day. It’s pretty gross.

Yes, we have pest control, but lately they suck. You have to call them to get them to come out and spray. I think I need to hire a new service.

We have a ton of frogs who live on our back patio so they help cut down on our bug population as well as pest control, but it’s just not enough.

This has nothing to do with writing but I couldn’t help but blog about it. The little boogers hang around my lamp at my desk every night so I thought I would pay homage to them.

How freakin’ sad is that?

I’m wondering whether I’m not seeing your blog in the way I should. There’s nothing at the top except “Telling Stories - Trials and tribulations of a romance writer” - no graphic or anything, and the side bar’s just a beige area with links on. It looks… well… pretty dull (everything’s just dark brown) and yet others are saying it looks cool so something’s gotta be wrong here. Just thought I’d let you know.

Don’t even get me started. I think because of all the rain we’ve been having, the bugs are coming out of the woodwork. They’re so gross!!!

Hmmm, Sharon, that’s weird. I wonder what the heck is going on?

But never fear, I have to agree it’s a little too dark and so when my website comes out (soon!) I shall have a matching blog. Yahoo!

It’s so hot down here that roaches are coming out. Thanks goodness it’s the small ones. I hate big roaches! *shrudders badly*

your blog is so beautiful. and I know all about bugs…eesh, if there’s anything I hate worse it’s snakes. but bugs are a very very very close second.

and I know all about the not writing thing..sigh, lately I’m thinking it’s contagious or something. I didn’t write a thing last night and have been struggling to eek out a paltry 5 a day. now that’s sad. LOL

bugs… ack! The puppy dog had a freak attack when he went out last night. And when I looked out, I saw the largest bug I’ve ever seen outside of a zoo exhibit. Hubby said it was a Rhino Beetle or something. But he was HUGE! So glad he didn’t decide to visit inside!

And here, we have “Palmetto Bugs” which are essentially roaches that fly. And apparently like to aim for your head. Not fun. Not fun at all!

Ick…it’s the one thing I still can’t get used to here either.

Ack! Bugs can seriously gross me out! I don’t have the heart to kill them though. It’s really bizarre. Spiders, lately I’ve made myself. Cause last thing I want is them crawling into bed with me while I’m sleeping *SHUDDER*

Would you believe I can see it now? It’s definitely better than it was this morning but I think it’s gonna look a millions miles better when it matches the new website.
