Oh, gosh, I am so so stuck. And it’s so so annoying. (And by the way it’s raining so so hard but that’s beside the point).
Anyway, I’ve stalled on my wip. And it irritates me. My husband was watching the kids and I thought “Ok, I’ll write, I haven’t written in –don’t want to mention how many– days.” Didn’t happen. I did do some research, very helpful research regarding my hero, his profession, a last name for him (can you believe I didn’t have a last name for him???). Glad it’s done, it needed to be done.
So I thought that might inspire me a little bit, make me want to get back at it.
Didn’t happen.
I decided to blog about it instead. Here I am, stumped. I think I’m gonna go watch America’s Next Top Model on the TiVo. Maybe that will inspire me. Yeah right!
Everyone have a good Easter!

At least choosing to do the research instead of letting the ’stuckies’ get full hold is really good. Are you stuck on what happens next or how you want to start the next section?
Maybe just start with a sentence…something serious or really funny like So and So pushed so and so into the pool…not that it has anything to do with your story but sometimes I find all I need to do is get something down on the blank sheet to get me started.
Or if you are stuck on what comes next, move ahead to the next scene that is ready to be written. Good luck.
Sarah L. Castleberry says:
That’s a good idea, Stacy.
If you have an idea for a later scene, you could go ahead and write it. Sometimes it’s really hard to get started on those “linking scenes”, like you know they need to get some place, but you have to write the transition to get them there…
I love ANTM by the way!! I hardly ever catch it, but I like to check in online and see the photoshoot pictures - it’s like watching makeovers/dress-up.
